Kahuku is the best place in Hawaii and on Oahu for testing renewable energy technology.

Securing funding for a Feasiblity Study for a community renewable energy innovation center. Which could also be used as a tourism center for the 2 million visitors who drive by the Oahu North Shore. Visitors can learn from KHIS students about the latest renewable energy research that is going on.

Immediate needs:

Providing honorariums and refreshments for experts and attendees driving from town to Kahuku

Hosting a statewide high school renewable energy contest. Poster, essay, project.

Encouraging KHIS students to do Renewable Energy senior projects

Setting up renewable energy club at KHIS invite community. Partnering with KHIS Environmental Club.

Securing seed money to help with more grants from Sen. Hirono

Promoting project with banners, ads, etc

Using a professional web designer

Writing and communication skills for press releases, web site and communications

Producing T-shirts by Kahuku.org to promote renewable energy/sustainability message
