KHIS’ ambition is to have a supportive role in renewable energy production. In 2007, measures included the decision to develop an technology innovation center at the campus to connect students with mentors that are the leading experts in renewable energy technology.

We are hoping to build a network of mentors from the business and education fields to work directly with students and teachers and test various renewable energy technologies in our own backyard.
Perhaps we could create some incentives such as starting an “X Prize” for renewable energy on Oahu or a “Renewable Energy Idol” here at [...]
